Meet Erik Portilio, with over six years of experience and a jaw-dropping record of over 2,500 inspections! While Erik may not have traditional construction experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge from his years in low-voltage networking and IT.

Erik is licensed for Residential inspections, New Residential Structures (NRS), across Maryland, Virginia, and DC, Erik is as versatile as they come. He can handle various ancillary services, including radon, termite, mold, and sewer scopes. Erik is particularly fond of inspecting new constructions and luxury homes.

When he is not busy inspecting properties in Montgomery and Frederick Counties—or venturing throughout the entire DMV area—Erik can be found engaging in his secret identity as a music engineer. “I love creating music of all kinds!” he exclaims. His evenings often involve horror movie marathons with his wife, followed by culinary experiments in the kitchen. “I make a mean steak and loaded potatoes,” he claims, though we will reserve judgment until we get an invite for dinner!

So, what inspired Erik to become a home inspector? “It all started when my good friend Brad Hopkin introduced me to this career,” he explains. “I wanted to be part of the home-buying journey, helping people secure the home they love. From day one, I was hooked!” Now, Erik is the detective of homes, ensuring every corner is inspected and every creak in the floor is investigated.
