With over 10 years of hands-on home inspection experience and approximately 5,000 inspections to his name, Rob McColley has transitioned from the field to a leadership role as an Inspector Manager. Before home inspections, Rob's career spanned a diverse range of industries. He owned a service station for six years and later joined the postal service, where he retired as a mail carrier. Not one to sit still, Rob entered the construction world, working for a Maryland home builder, specializing in kitchen and bath installations. He even built his own home in 2001, a milestone that expanded his wealth of knowledge in construction and home systems. Rob’s expertise didn’t go unnoticed—his wife and daughter encouraged him to share his skills with others, leading him into the home inspection industry.


Now, as an Inspector Manager, Rob leverages his extensive experience to lead and mentor the next generation of inspectors. His vast knowledge of the field, paired with his practical experience in construction, enables him to guide his team with precision and insight, ensuring the highest standards of service for ProTec Inspection Services.

A classic car enthusiast, Rob loves working on vintage vehicles, riding his motorcycles, and tearing through trails on his ATV with friends. He and his wife also enjoy traveling, adding another layer of adventure to his life outside of inspections.
